Moratorium on Winter Utility Shut-Offs (2005,2007)
The Legislature adopted a Moratorium on Winter Utility Shut-offs in 2005 to shield low-income residents from the high costs of utility in winter months.
The terms of the moratorium were altered (weakened) in 2007 (the bill was not signed as of this writing on March 22, 2007). We will post final results here when they become available.
